Glazed Lemon Squares

Bottom Layer:

1 C flour
1/4  powdered sugar
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp Watkins Nutmeg
1/2 C butter or margarine

Middle Layer:

1/2  granulated sugar
2 Tbsp Watkins Lemon Dessert Mix
1/2 tsp Watkins Baking Powder
2 eggs, slightly beaten
2 Tbsp water

Glaze:

1/2 C powdered sugar
1/2 tsp Watkins Lemon Extract
1 Tbsp melted butter
1/2 to 1 Tbsp water

Combine flour, powdered sugar, salt & nutmeg in mixing bowl. Cut in butter until mixture forms a soft dough. Press into greased 8″ x 8″ baking pan. Bake at 325 degrees for 15 min. Mix sugar, Lemon Dessert Mix, baking powder, eggs & 2 Tbsp water; spread over baked layer. Return to oven & bake about 25 min. Cool.

For Lemon Glaze, blend remaining ingredients until smooth. Spread glaze over baked layers, cut into squares. Makes about 2-1/2 dozen bars.

Watkins French Onion Dip

2 Tablespoons Watkins Onion Soup & Gravy Base

2 cups sour cream

Mix ingredients together and refrigerate for 2 or more hours.  Serve with chips, crackers or vegetables.

Variations:

Onion Dill Dip:  To the above recipe, add 1 Tablespoon Watkins Parsley, 1 teaspoon Watkins Dill, 1/4 teaspoon Watkins Garlic Powder

Onion Herb Dip:  To the above recipe, add 1 1/2 teaspoon Watkins Italian Seasoning
