Almost Watkins Potato Salad Seasoning

This recipe is a blend of spices to help you spicesmake the best tasting potato salad ever – add 1 to 2 teaspoons to potato soup, mashed potatoes and deviled eggs too! The beauty of making your own seasonings is that you can adjust the ingredients to suit your taste.

Potato Salad Seasoning

1 tablespoon Watkins Black Pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1?2 tablespoon Watkins Chicken Soup and Gravy Base
1 tablespoon Watkins Parsley Flakes
1?2 teaspoon Watkins Garlic Powder
1?2 tablespoon Watkins Onion Powder
1?2 teaspoon Watkins Celery Seed
1 teaspoon Watkins Marjoram Leaves
1 large Watkins Bay Leaf

Mix well and grind in a spice grinder or a coffee grinder used just for spices.  Store in an airtight container.

Watkins Loaded Baked Potato Salad

5 pounds small unpeeled red potatoes, cubed

1 teaspoon salt

1/2 teaspoon Watkins Black Pepper

1 teaspoon Watkins Onion Powder

1 teaspoon Watkins Garlic Powder

8 hard-cooked eggs, chopped

1 pound sliced bacon, cooked and crumbled (optional)

2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese

1 sweet onion, chopped

3 dill pickles, chopped

1-1/2 cups (12 ounces) sour cream

1 cup mayonnaise

2 to 3 teaspoons prepared mustard

Place the potatoes in a greased 15-in. x 10-in. x 1-in. baking pan; sprinkle with salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder. Bake, uncovered, at 425° for 40-45 minutes or until tender. Cool in pan on a wire rack.

In a large bowl, combine the potatoes, eggs, bacon, cheese, onion and pickles. In a small bowl, combine the sour cream, mayonnaise and mustard; pour over the potato mixture and toss to coat. Yield: 20 servings.

small snack & dip mixSave $1.00 on Watkins Dips in August!  Mix Watkins Snack & Dip Seasoning with sour cream, light sour cream,
fat free sour cream or yogurt and serve with chips, wheat thins, crackers
and raw vegetables. For a great cheese ball, mix 3 tablespoons with 8
oz. of softened cream cheese. Serve with crackers.

Blazin’ Cajun: Use to add a “kick” to vegetables, soups and stews.
Awesome Spicy Dip!!!

Cucumber & Dill: Sprinkle on cottage cheese or a tossed salad. Great
as a dip and a sandwich spread.

Fiesta: Rich blend of Mexican seasonings.

Garden Vegetable: Best dip ever!!! Like a fresh salad!!!

Garlic & Dill: On a baked potato, or a sandwich spread or sprinkle in
your vegetables when cooking. Great on fish!!

Salsa & Sour Cream: Great topping for tacos or burritos, and a creamy
dressing for taco salad. Great in scrambled eggs!!

Tomato & Horseradish: Great as a sauce for the bloomin’ onion, on
salmon or as a sandwich spread.

Creamy Salad Dressing: Combine ½ cup mayonnaise, 1/3 cup low-fat
milk, 2 tsp. vinegar, and 2-3 tsp (to taste) of any of the following mixes:
Cucumber & Dill, Garden Vegetable, or Garlic & Dill.

Spinach Dip: Add Garden Vegetable mix to your favorite Spinach Dip
recipe. Serve in a hollowed out bread bowl.
