Waldorf Salad

How do you like to eat apples? You probably didn’t realize that the way you eat apples says something about your personality, according to marylandsbest.net;

Compulsive wedger-can’t eat an apple whole, it must be perfectly cored and sliced in 8 equal parts

Splitter-hates to deal with a core, but not compulsive enough to bother with wedges;  they cut it in half and nibble contently

Circle stickler-the rebellious type, they slice an apple across the grain; it does fit nicely layered with a slice of cheese

Top-to-bottom eater-they methodically munch at the stem, then work their way down then rotates the apple until he has finished it

Equator Eater-takes a bite out of the center while turning it all the way around, attacks the top then the bottom of the apple

Streak-eats his apple in the nude! Not him, the apple, silly-peels the skin off in one continuous strip then he eats the whole apple

Type A Core-free cruncher-a “seedophobic” and can’t stand seeds, no matter how they get them out before one bite

Type B Core-free cruncher-eats lots of apples because they love to use apple-corer appliances

Stem-plucker-before eating his apple he turns the apple while holding the stem, saying a letter of the alphabet with each turn, everyone knows the letter when the stem comes off is the first initial of your future spouse (this gets sticky if you’re married)

Below is one of my favorite apple recipes:

Waldorf Salad from my Mom

1 cup chopped apples
1 cup chopped celery
1/2 cup chopped walnuts and 1/2 cup raisins

1/3 cup mayonnaise, 1 TBSP sugar, 1 TBSP vinegar

Combine mayonnaise, sugar and vinegar; add to chopped apples, celery, walnuts and raisins.
